We started the weekend off with the Turkey Trot on Thursday morning of course. Here's Adam and I post Turkey Trot, happy to be done.
In the afternoon we walked to Adam's Aunt Sandi's house a half mile or so away for dinner. It was nice not to have to travel far to go to eat. We had a delicious dinner and there were lots of gluten free foods since Adam's cousin's fiance is also gluten free. So I had plenty of yummy choices, especially for dessert.
Playing in the backyard before thanksgiving dinner. After the freezing temperatures in the morning, it turned into a beautiful day.
On Friday, we decided to drive to a new place for a hike/run--Golden Gate Canyon State Park. We chose a trail called the "Burro Trail" and did a hike up to Windy Peak. And true to it's name, it was very windy. It was a bit chilly at the start, and as we climbed there was more and more snow on the trail, making it pretty challenging. It was a much more manageable distance/difficulty level than the long tough hike we did up Bear Peak. I got tired with maybe a mile or so left, which is pretty good.
It was Mickey's first hike and we put the hiking pack on him to slow him down. I think it only made him go faster down hill from the gravity and caused him to loose his balance a few times and start skidding down the trail. He's still pretty awkward.
Here are a few pictures from our hike/run on Friday:
Mickey waiting patiently to get started.
Frito is always looking for something, and Mickey always looks back to check on us.
There was a lot of snow on the trail. I think I need at least some trail running shoes for all this trail stuff. I was slipping all over the place.
Beautiful :)
Mickey checking on us as usual.
I booked a flight to go to Michigan the weekend before Christmas. I'm sad the dogs and Adam can't come with me, but I am coming back before Christmas so we can all spend that time together in Colorado. We want to get a tree, but we are not sure what Mickey's puppy energy will do with it.
I'm going to see an acupuncturist tomorrow. I've never had acupuncture done before. I've heard good things about it treating migraines and since my prevention medicine hasn't been helping much, I'm hoping this will change things. I'm a little nervous about it.

Love the pictures!! Mickey is so cute - of course so are the other dogs too!! :) And Colorado is beautiful.
I hope the accupunturist works for your headaches. I've known a lot of people to have a lot of success with accupunture.
