Tired like a fox

I am too brain dead to think. I think the stupidification factor on my migraine medication has increased exponentially. As has the sleepiness factor. Yesterday, one of my coworkers told me I looked like I was drunk. Just the look I was going for. Ok so...

Monday, no workouts for me. I was supposed to swim. It was rainy, icky. I was tired. I worked late. Then, I went to Target. I needed stuff. New sheets, garbage bags, paper towels, toys and poopy bags for doggies, and ended up buying tons of other things too. Oh yeah, and Monday was they day I found the tick in my scalp, while I was at work. I had the itchy creepy yucks all day. I got the new sheets washed with the blankets and got the doggies clean and checked.

Tuesday was stressful at work too. And I was super tired. I felt like lying down on the floor I was so tired. I had to literally hold my eyes open at some points. Darn migraine meds. I slept a decent amount. The constant rain didn't help with the sleepiness. I really just wanted to curl up in bed, but another day off, come on! No. So I ran. Cause putting my bike on the trainer would have been too much work (it is not a normal trainer) and riding in the rain was nasty and cold and I am a sissy girl princess about that stuff. So I ran 45 mins with the doggies with 4x90 sec race pace intervals with long rests in between. My legs felt weird, tired. Frito looked so happy.

Today, I meant to get up early, but I didn't. Tired. I left work at a reasonable hour. And then swam. It started off ok.
300-50 free, 50 back
200-50 kick, 50 swim
100IM not as bad as I thought it might be, and it was fun to do again
4x25 fly w/ fins again, not as bad...a 50 may have been...
4x{2x50 increasing fast portion and rest, 100 easy}
2x300 pull with paddles
2100m total
I was supposed to do the 50s and the 2x300 pull a second time through. But i was doing the pull with paddles and my shoulders and lats were aching. And I was thinking, my A race is coming up on Saturday, is this really the best thing for me, to have my muscles aching doing strength work. But I finished it. I was shivering cold at that point and got ready to start the next round of 50s. I was just cold and tired and got out. I had a princess moment.

I went home and biked 45 mins with 4x90 seconds hard with long recovery, then 2 miles running nice and snappy. I didn't feel like doing either, but was glad I did. My legs do feel tired though.

My exam is in a week. Exam 4 for the CAS/SOA. I am not as prepared as I should be, but more prepared than last time. And I still have a week.

I have a lot on my plate, so I really need to just relax and take care of myself and not stress out. Stuff will get done, it will work out. I need to take time to relax and feel ok about it.

Have a great race this weekend and enjoy it! I know that sounds crazy but honestly, I've been feeling lately like why am I doing this if I don't enjoy both the training and the racing so I just try to keep that in my mind. You're doing great.. take care of yourself. I'll see you in a week or so at Columbia (if I make it that far! ha!)

Hey Maija - hope you are feeling better soon and get some energy. Studying can weigh you down so once you get that off your plate you will feel better! Good luck this weekend!!! And good luck on the studying/test too.
