In the last 3 days I have been through 6 Maxalt pills for migraines. That's a lot in case you didn't know. When i felt like my migraines were under control, I was using less than 5 in a month. I woke up this morning with a migraine. And looked at the clock and saw 8:32. WHAT?????!!!!! I guess taking 2 pills yesterday and combined with my prevention poison made me sleepy and I didn't even realize I turned off my alarm. Enough of this. I was out of it. Called into work. Called my doctor when they opened and got an appointment in.
First off, things about the doctors office that bug me. when they weigh me and take my height (like magically at 29 years old I am going to have a growth spurt) they stare at the BMI chart forever like they have never seen someone who didn't fit on there. Then, they always put me in the kids room. They claim it is because they need to use the chilrens blood pressure cuff on me. An adult cuff works on me just fine. Unless new ones are now made larger to accomate the fat american public. While I was in the kids room I noticed that the baby scale goes up to 120lbs. Really? Is there ever a need for anything near this? I thought about hopping on just for fun. But the doctor came in before I got bored enough. So, I am getting of topomitawhatever generic junk I am on, but weening off and getting on something else until I can see a neurologist. My appointment with the neurologist is in one month. No point being on a medicine that is making me sleepy and nauseus and no longer seems to be as effective for me.Time to try something new instead of just complainging about how much it sucks.
Anyway, so on Marit's blog I saw this and I always like these things so I wanted to play :)
8 Thingies I am looking forward to:
1) Memorial day weekend
2) Mooseman triathlon up in NH! A fun weekend with friends. Post race party in evening?!
3) Getting back in shape.
4) Getting my house cleaned and getting rid of some stuff--not the actual cleaning part, but enjoying it once it is done.
5) Legally changing my name back...not looking forward to doing the paperwork, just looking forward to having it done and taking a further step at moving on.
6) Summer 2009--Spring kinda flew by, so gotta make summer '09 a good one!
7) Uberman! A one of a kind race that I am lucky to be a part of.
8) Dating, a little bit of a scary concept but looking forward to it.
8 Thingies I did yesterday:
1) Biking with friends
2) Ate 2 packs of skittles at work
3) After eating the second pack of skittles decided I should start writing down what I eat again, as to shame myself into eating healthy food instead of sugar.
4) Stalking squirrels with Frito
5) Work of course!
6) Almost get sidswipped by a tractor trailer that just HAD to move into my lane at that instant on 202 on my commute home as I was passing over the circle of death in Someville.
7) Watch the rest of the Survivor finale on Tivo while I foam rolled
8) Indoor fetch with Cooper while chatting on facebook
8 Thingies I would like to do:
1) Buy a new couch!!!! Mine is so uncomfortable and Frito has worn a spot in his spot.
2) Go to Hawaii or somewhere fun and beautiful--not for a triathlon.
3) Get my house more organized.
4) Take the doggies swimming/hiking.
5) Go on a date eventually!
6) Go shopping for cute summer clothes.
7) Watch stupid romatic comedies
8) Dance
8 shows I watch:
1) Desperate Housewives
2) The Office
3) Survivor (So glad JT won, such a cutie!!)
4) So You Think You Can Dance
5) The Biggest Loser
6) The Amazing Race
7) King of Queens (reruns)
8) Girls Next Door

ts pretty much why i hate the dr too
Glad you are getting those meds fixed!!!! I enjoyed your lists!
Haha, the weight thing at the doctor drives me crazy. I gain and lose weight really fast depending how much I'm training, and they freak out that my weight has gone up and down 10-15 lbs and back up and down again in a year.
Come to Hawaii anytime.
Babies of 120 lb???? Nice list!!
Nice list - they ARE fun!! :) Feel better asap - I'm glad that you're going to see a neuro doc and work on the medication. Yeah - I was glad that TJ won as well - YEA for foam rolling!!
Have fun at Mooseman - thats right near where I grew up, I love that part of the country.
I like that list. I may have to participate. I really like your blog, always so real and just what you are thinking! Glad you have lots to look forward to and you DO need to plan a vacaction! I do too, but I am traveling so much to races it always uses up all my dang days. Have so much fun this weekend racing and with friends and good luck getting things done.
