Another quick FL update!

First off--I got the bike together last night and it seemed to be a smooth process. The aero bars were not right this morning but I fixed them. I'm awesome!

I slept in, no alarm and went down to breakfast. Resisted the urge to order French Toast and stuck to oatmeal and OJ. Then finally get down to the race site with, oh, like 5000 people. And no parking. I drive and drive and find a spot like a mile or two away. Can't ride my bike, I don't have air in the tires yet. Sigh.

Ooh look a doggie! It's a long haired Weimeraner! "Can I pet your dog? It's so pretty!" Yeah...this happened a lot. Anyway, then the long hike to the expo/packet pickup. I walked along the kids triathlon course to watch and cheer. It was so cute! As I am walking some guy gives me a hi-five and says good job. I think he thought I had finished the kids tri. I did have my braids in. I meander around, where can I get my tires pumped up? Need to get off my feet!

Finally I get to the freakin expo. Run into my friend Meaghan like almost first thing. Then tires and a 10 min spin with some accelerations. Everything feels good. I shift through all my gears. Looks like I did a good job with my bike! Then I look around the expo and find my sponsor athlete3.com and got to meet them in person for the first time. And pick out some cute clothes and see some new products. They have some new swim bark run flip flops that of course I want. For people, not dogs :) I leave my bike and gear with them and then do my run, and get a short massage and get my packet. I ran into Bree Wee at the expo and also met Laura and Greg Bennett at the Orbea tent! And met Ashley Long when she was trying on a dress at the athlete3.com tent. She didn't get it, so I took it! It is a cute little green running dress.

After all this I needed a nap. I had a conversation with Jen Harrison about my race plan for tomorrow and then had a good nap, got my food at the grocery store.

I packed well but I forgot one thing. My camera! Ahhh! My camera is bulky. I kinda want a new one. I am not good at using it. I want an easy camera for not technical people like myself. I thought about getting one, but no time. I don't want to rush to buy one.

Good luck to everyone racing! I'll see you out there and hopefully catch up after the race.

My bestest words for you for race day: HAVE FUN. At the end of the day, that's all the matters.

A running dress: Is is a comfy dress with a sports bra in it that you can sweat in and still look cute. I will take pics at some point. No camera here though :( I can't believe Coutenay doesn't have one.

I let my husband do the shopping for cameras, computers, etc. Hope you find one of your liking.
